There are other explanations of the lack of weight loss. There may be medical
conditions that are leading to the failures that need professional assistance or guidance. Taking into
consideration that not everyone can use the various types of weight loss or diets to lose weight is a one that many
don’t want to face. They don’t realize that sometimes it requires the assistance of a doctor and specialized
plans for the weight loss. However, before going to the doctor, think about these few facts to determine if
professional assistance is required.
1. What type of diet have you tried? Is the diet low in fat, low in carbohydrates,
and low in sodium? If the diet is all of this, then consider if you were able to stick the diet plan without
cheating. Cheating is the #1 cause for diet failure. If you are cheating, then find ways to add the items you are
cheating with into the diet. You may be a chocoholic that craves chocolate. Add small amounts of chocolate to
reduce the cravings.
2. Create a diet that adds more taste and flavor to your foods. Learn to use
different spices that enhance the natural flavors to the food without the fattening or sodium. This helps to eat
the new types of food to remain on the healthy diet.
3. Look for recipes that sound exciting or interesting. Be willing to try new
recipes. Don’t limit your diet plan to one particular type of food that will become boring leading you to fall
off the diet.
4. Set a realistic diet plan. You want to lose about 2-5 pounds a week to remain
in the healthy weight loss range. Anything more is unhealthy and unrealistic.
5. Use an exercise program that is low impact. Forget the aerobics or high impact
exercises that will cause burn out and lead to failure. You need to try walking or swimming for the low impact and
easy to do exercise that will tone up the body without stressing out the muscles or mind.
6. Forget about the claims and proclamations of the diet plans when using the
various types. It is mostly hype and unproven so it will be discouraging if you believe everything you read or
hear.
7. Talk to your doctor about weight loss and dieting. The professional will be
able to offer advice on proven techniques that will work without health risks or making you discouraged.
Dieting is an art. It is like anything else that requires dedication and discipline.
You have to be committed to the goals set and not waiver from them. Be patient and do not deter from them. It took
time to gain t he weight so it will take time
to lose it. Now face the new challenge of losing weight with the right game plan. You can do it!
