Why you have man boobs

This will be the question that needs answering before you go on.

Generally, there are two main reasons why guys have man boobs. The first is a common suspect - being overweight. These ugly man boobs are composed of fatty tissues stored over your chest muscles, right underneath the skin.

It is a common myth that it is possible to spot-remove these fat deposits from your chest. Tha is simply not true. The answer to getting rid of man boobs fast is by reducing overall fat in the  body. You cannot choose an exclusive part of your body where fat should be specifically shed from. With cardio, strength training workouts, and proper diet, you will not only burn fat off the chest region, but the whole body as well.

The second reason is due to a medical condition called gynecomastia. Basically, it is a hormonal condition that causes the body to produce a decreased amount of testosterone, and an increased amount of estrogen. Certain medications that influence hormonal levels of the body can cause gynecomastia.

To resolve this condition, medical advice has to be sought. Most times the particular drug causing gynecomastia is taken off the patient, or anti-estrogen treatment will be administered. In some cases, surgery may be a necessity if there is no observed improvement.

There are basically two helpful exercise types - Cardio and Strength Training.

Cardio Exercises

Cardio exercises are very helpful in having a lot of calories burnt off the body, as well as in reducing man boobs. We have listed here a couple of recommended cardio exercises:

Running: This is the easiest and generally best mode of cardiovascular exercise. It is inexpensive and can be done anywhere. However, replace with other methods if you have joint problems or just plain hate running.

Sports: Another great activity to burn fat while enjoying it, is to play your favourite sports. Sports such as basketball, soccer, tennis, table tennis or volleyball are great cardiovascular workouts. These sports go a long in helping you burn body fat and reduce man boobs.

Strength Training: You might argue that strength training exercises is not the answer to getting rid of man boobs fast, since not a significant amount of calories will be burnt during the workout. But what most people don't realize is that strength training increases  lean muscle mass which helps in burning calories tremendously. The training will also give your body a well-sculpted shape and tone, melting the man boobs away. ou will be looking awesome and more attractive.

Push-Ups: Push-ups are inexpensive but excellent workout for your upper body. Best part is you don't need any equipment to do it. Just place your hands on the floor, shoulders wide apart. Then lower yourself until your nose is almost touching the ground. Pause, then rise up. It may seem like a difficult feat to accomplish at first but as you perform several sets, you will find it easy to work on.

Seated Chest Press: If you have access to a gym, use a seated chest press machine. Just sit with your back flat against the seat. Slowly push the weights out and return to starting position. You can perform 3 to 4 sets of 8 to 12 repetitions of this. This will shape up your chest and biceps while building lean muscles too.
